Safety Expo

What The Safety Expo Is

With a continuous focus on SAFETY as the absolute cornerstone for success in our industry, the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange (SRBX) initiated an annual Safety Expo in 2005 that is funded by contributions, sponsorships and participation that flows through CIEF.  The seven education-focused conferences and trade shows assembled during the intervening years have hosted more than 9,000 registrants for in excess of 14,000 safety training sessions!

With progressive changes from both Federal and California OSHA coupled with economic distress in recent years, employers are challenged with compliance while striving to maintain a competitive business advantage… if not just survive!  Because safety training is one key area that connot be compromised even in difficult times, the ability of the Safety Expo to provide a full range of quality training opportunities at an absolutely minimum cost has been a great service to the industry… and its great popularity, no surprise

The opportunity to develop safety competencies through a variety of seminars and workshops, as well as visting with vendors on the trade show floor, for just a $50 registration fee ($65 for non-SRBX members) for three days… seven tracks offering more than a hundred sessions… provides huge cost reductions for Safety Expo participants.   Versus typical OSHA or accident investigation classes that may run $250 to $400, scaffolding certification at as much as $500, or Low and High Voltage Electrical Safety that often are in the $700 to $1,400 range publicly, this event helps provide a vital lifeline — particularly as employers everywhere deal with the challenges of maintaining existing training levels while coping with ever-shrinking budgets.
